Additional Information

This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.

Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.

Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.

Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.

Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.

Our History

Pioneer Kiwanis Club was formed in 1988 by concerned citizens in the Pioneer School district to support children in our community. Kiwanis is an international organization of clubs with the Motto: “serving children of the world.”

The general purposes of this corporation are to promote charitable, educational and scientific endeavors and to foster the safety, health, education and welfare of people throughout the world by furnishing funds, work and effort.

The specific purposes are:

1. Granting scholarships and financial aid to worthy students from the Pioneer School district for the purpose of furthering their education

2. Supporting educational enrichment programs for students attending schools in Mason County.

3. Providing assistance to other groups or individuals which the club’s Board of Directors and the membership by vote deem worthy. (Article 4 of Articles of Incorporation)

We currently give out 7 Tom Terjeson scholarships at the promotion ceremony for 8th graders. Named after one of our early members who was instrumental in starting the scholarships.

We also give scholarships to students graduating from high school that live in Pioneer school district.

We sponsor a read to ride program for K-5th grades in which a boy’s bike and a girl’s bike with helmets are given to each grade. The winner is determined by a random drawing of tickets that are earned by reading.

Some other examples of past funding include: Girls’ basketball team, cheerleaders, robotics, after school programs, Pioneer Food Bank, Sound Learning, installation of climbing wall in the elementary school, and the Christmas Giving project.

Our members also volunteer time and labor to various projects to benefit the students and community such as: celebration of the staff barbecue at the beginning of the school year, participation at Oysterfest for the 4th grade students of various schools, assisting in planting at the school, installing bricks for the bell tower at the school, etc.

Our Goals

Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.
